Windows
This is a platform on which we have been spending our most of the (un)productive time. Governed by a single Military rule "learn it, live it, love it" , it is an OS that defined how an OS should look & perform. It is an OS which would come each time you talk of history or future of OS.
Of course it is no denying the fact that the developers had a mammoth task at hand & have created something that was previously unheard & unrealized. When you create something this big you are supposed to be careful to every detail.
It is true that it is great & a mile stone in computer industry.
But when it comes to being productive ,views clash. Failure is a funny step stone. And windows seems to be stumbling on that step stone.
Why we Love to hate it:
4. Occasional Heart attacks(read Error messages)
The now & then popping error messages do make us nervous sometimes. Coming out of nowhere & asking us if we want to do THis or thIS to "god-know-what" piece of S#!t.
3. Blue Screen of Death:
Everyone has seen it & wondered ,if they are going to lose all their beloved files just like that. The statement in BSOD seems to be written by some Arab-Executioner , which is threatening & grim.
2. No other (default) option
It comes pre-loaded on our machines & we have to welcome it humbly & with respect as we do to some clingy Guest of ours. No other default option makes us unsuspecting victims.
1. Everyone has it :
If you have any other OS you are perceived as some Alien with strange Vocab of funny words like Open -Source, kernel, boot loader, Linux etc.
People are happy with Windows & want to drag it similar to some un-romantic Love -Affairs , where you know all about the person you love but keep on thinking about others who are with someone hotter than your "Cupcake". Sometimes you decide to leave them & start with others things in life , but you are threatened by the fact that the one you love, knows all your secrets & also how you would react in certain situations.
